Alberto López ha sido nombrado Director Ejecutivo de la Comisión de Intercambio Cultural, Educativo y Científico entre Estados Unidos y España (Comisión Fulbright) en enero de 2012.
Ingeniero Industrial, fue becario Fulbright entre 1995 y 1996 en la “Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy”, de la Universidad de Tufts, donde consiguió un MA en Relaciones Internacionales. Tiene asimismo un Master en Marketing Internacional otorgado por la Escuela de Negocios ESDEN de Madrid.
Comenzó su carrera profesional en el Instituto Español de Comercio Exterior (ICEX) donde llegó a alcanzar responsabilidades directivas como Jefe del Gabinete del Vicepresidente y Director de Servicios de Información. Su último puesto de trabajo fue como Director de Internacionalización de la Empresa en Promomadrid, desde donde lideraba el apoyo de la región de Madrid a las empresas en su salida a terceros mercados.
Alberto fue Consejero de la Sociedad Estatal para el Desarrollo del Diseño y la Innovación (DDI) y de la empresa pública Mercasa. Ha trabajado también en el sector privado como gestor de calidad y como director de una empresa distribuidora de propia creación.

Alberto López has been appointed Executive Director of the Commission for Cultural, Educational and Scientific Exchange between the United States of America and Spain (Fulbright Commission) in January 2012.
An Industrial Engineer, he was a Fulbright student from 1995 to 1996 at the Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, Tufts University, where he earned an MA in International Relations. He also has a Master´s in International Marketing, awarded by ESDEN Business School in Madrid.
He began his career in the Spanish Institute for Foreign Trade (ICEX) where he achieved managerial responsibilities as Chief of Staff for the Vice President and Director of Information Services. His most recent position was as Trade Promotion Director in Promomadrid, heading the support that the Madrid Regional Government bestows on companies for their global expansion.
Alberto has been a member of the Board of Directors of the Sociedad Estatal para el Desarrollo del Diseño y la Innovación (DDI) and of the Public Company Mercasa. He has also worked in the private sector as Quality Manager, and led his own distribution Company.
